My father once told me, “Smart people learn from their experiences. Really smart people learn from the experiences of others.” It’s true. It’s also too bad that I didn’t grasp the potency of that until much later.
I used to think that when I stopped enjoying looking at people, I would be done. Not so. I have come to understand that when I stop laughing, then I will be done. It took a long time for that lesson too.
What we look like is only a shell. What we are is inside.
If you don’t tell any lies, you don’t have to remember what you said. I got this one early on and it makes life much easier.
Do what you think is right. If you do that, even if it ends up not being the right thing, you will be able to justify your actions. Again early on and easy.
Take time for yourself. Everyone needs some time, so don’t forget you.
Sound wisdom. Bet you’ve got some to share.
